Ultrafuse filaments perfectly printed with a Kodak printer, thanks to Smart International’s Material Partnership Program.

To meet the demand for easy-to-print, high-quality engineering materials, Smart International, Kodak’s global brand licensee in 3D printing, has recently launched its Materials Partnership Program. Material profiles for 4 of our filaments have been developed, to ensure customers can successfully print 3rd party filaments with formulations highly demanded by industrial customers on the KODAK Portrait 3D Printer. The printer has been designed to reliably 3D print high-temp materials, and the material partnerships help increase the options for professional 3D printing, thanks to the range of engineering materials the printer can run.

The Smart International technical team has expertly tested and calibrated Ultrafuse® ABS Fusion+, Ultrafuse® PAHT CF15, Ultrafuse® PA, and Ultrafuse® Z PCTG. With each filament undergoing rigorous tests designed to pinpoint optimum conditions including best printing temperature, flow values, and print bed adhesion. Printing profiles have then been created from this data, and these profiles are now ready to be downloaded from the Smart3D website and imported into the desktop slicer, or accessed directly from the KODAK 3D Cloud.
