Ultrafuse® HiPS (High Impact Polystyrene)
Ultrafuse HiPS (previously Innofil3D HiPS, different name, same high-quality product!) is a high-quality engineering thermoplastic. HiPS is well known in the 3D-printing industry as a support material for ABS. But this material has additional properties to offer like:
- Good impact resistance
- Good dimensional stability
- Easy post-processing.
Our Ultrafuse HiPS filament is a great material to use as a support for ABS because it dissolves in D ‘limonene. Now you have the opportunity to create ABS models with a complex geometry. With this lightweight material, your prints will have a beautiful matte finish. Ultrafuse HiPS is easy to post-process with glue or with sanding paper. The composition of the material make it ideal for painting. 3D Printing Profiles

Importing the Ultrafuse material profiles into the Cura Material Manager will make our materials available to select in Cura directly. This makes it easy to start printing with our materials on Ultimaker printers and will make sure you are using the right settings for your print.
To import the material profile in the Cura interface go to
Settings > Materials > Manage Materials… Next, press the Import button and select the downloaded profile you want to import.
Please note, We see this profile as a general-purpose profile.
